The
best way for new approaches to be adopted, is for them to be discovered
and championed by those doing the work. This has been recognised
across industry by the likes of Google and Toyota with employees given
time and resources for self-directed study. Encouraging NHS staff to
run small (or larger) personal research projects will directly generate
new insights, and also create a receptive culture where this personal
time can be used to assess ideas from elsewhere in the NHS or the
supplier community. It will enhance the direct personal interest for
clinical staff in having effective infromation available for research,
if they can have controlled access to the data through local research
facilitators. |
