This program is a windows based tool for testing and validating XML Schemas and XML Messages.

The installer files are in the form of Microsoft Installer files (.msi). Items that don't have hyperlinks are available on request. NOTE: If you were having difficulties installing the package due to MSXML4, this problem has now been resolved (as of v1.3)

  • Added feature to automatically search an XML instance file and using schemaLocation hints and interactionId extension attribute contents, find the correct Schema to Validate it against.
  • This feature is disabled by default. To enable it you need to first go to the "Options" menu and choose "Schema locator config". Once the "Schema Locators" window is loaded, select the "Enable auto schema selection:" check box at the bottom of the window
  • In the "Schema Locators" window you are able to:
  • Modify the order in which these location hints are searched for.
  • Modify the location of the schemas referred to by a hint.
  • Modify the XPath used to search instance files.
  • Add and remove location hints from the list.
  • Added the ability to enable/disable pretty printing of Instance files. The pretty-printing feature was included to allow easier identification of offending lines of XML post validation. This extended ability has been added due to issues with previous versions modifying XML instance files.
  • This feature is disabled by default. To enable it by default you need to first go to the "Options" menu and choose "Validator config". Once this window has loaded, select the "Enable Pretty-Printing of XML instances by default:" check box.
  • This feature can also be enabled for individual projects at the bottom of the project properties window
  • Inclusion of deprecation message for batch files using MSV v1.3
  • Correction of issue with cancel button on project properties window
